The 2016 run is dedicated to the seeds, a reminder and living prayer to honor and preserve the sacredness of our seeds that give food, medicine and life.

 

The freedom to keep, save and share our seeds is under attack. This age old practice ensures the sustainability, livelihood and health of our communities.

 

Corporations with their unsafe practices only care about profits and are causing damage to the seed, soil, water and air.

 

Our goals are:

 

• To bring our communities together in the power of one collective voice for the protection of Mother Earth.

 

• To instill pride in our people and encourage the use of their ancestral indigenous wisdoms in this effort.

 

• To teach, strategize and network with each other and build upon the realization that all of humanity will suffer if we do not put a stop to the ongoing destruction of our environment.

 

• To share with humankind that we can find peaceful, responsible and dignified solutions for our present and future generations.
